Chairman's Message
It is my pleasure
to welcome you to the website of Control Systems Chapter, IEEE Singapore
Section. Currently, the Chapter has 67 members.
2007 was a fruitful year for the Chapter under the
leadership of past Chairman, Prof Xie Lihua. In particular, the Chapter
successfully co-organized the 6th IEEE International Conference on Control and
Automation (ICCA'07) in
In 2008, we shall continue to be active in organizing various
activities. We shall continue to invite IEEE Distinguished Lecturers to give
lectures, and to invite internationally renowned researchers and professors to
conduct technical seminars. All IEEE Distinguished Lectures and technical
seminars are free of charge and open to public.
The Chapter will organize the 4th Postgraduate Workshop in
September 2008. The Chapter will also be preparing for the organization of the 7th
IEEE International Conference on Control and Automation (ICCA'09) (co-organized
with the IEEE New Zealand Control Systems Chapter), to be held in
We have also planned a number of social gatherings for all
chapter members and their family. The first one coming up will be a wine
appreciation workshop in May 2008.

organized by the IEEE Student Branch,
The chapter will continue to collaborate with research
institutes in
All of these activities are of much interest and benefits
to all IEEE CSS members, members of other IEEE societies. Some of the
activities will also be open to non-members as well. For details of those
