Control Systems Chapter Graduate Student Workshop 2008
With support from the IEEE Control Systems Society
(CSS), the IEEE Singapore Control Systems Chapter held its 4th IEEE Singapore Control Systems Chapter
Graduate Student Workshop on Control
and Automation on 22 September,
2008, at Executive Seminar Room,
S2.2-B2-53, School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University.
The main aim of the workshop was to create a forum for research postgraduate
students from universities and research institutions in the area of systems and
control to exchange the latest research findings and ideas and also a
networking session for students and staff. It was also to promote the IEEE
membership to the graduate students. This workshop included 10 technical presentations
by research students from the National University of Singapore (NUS), Nanyang
Technological University (NTU), Data Storage Institute (DSI), Singapore
Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTech), Seagate Singapore and
Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. The workshop was open to all.

Control Systems Chapter Graduate Student Workshop 2005
With support from the IEEE Control
Systems Society (CSS), the IEEE Control Chapter, Singapore, held its 1st Graduate
Student Workshop in Control and Automation on 17 August 2005, in the Department
of Electrical & Computer Engineering, National University of Singapore. The
aim of the workshop was to promote the membership to the graduate students in
control and automation area and also to create a forum for research students in
the area of control and automation to present the latest research findings and
ideas. This first workshop included 8 technical presentations by research
students from the National University of Singapore (NUS), Nanyang Technological
University (NTU), Data Storage Institute (DSI), and Singapore Institute of
Manufacturing Technology (SIMTech). The certificates and IEEE Control Systems
Chapter T-shirts were presented to all the presenters by the Workshop Chairman,
Dr Cheng Xiang of the National University of Singapore.
